Deja Vu 8 Bit Remix - Initial D
26pretty sure i talked about initial d a while ago so i dont feel like talking about it. ill probably do a few more initial d covers over the next while while i have the echofied 6581 full cover in the works. finished oro incenso early this past week and worked on this throughout the week to give myself a breather before starting work on ubi sound, which i started yesterday. cars are pretty cool. i dont really know jack shit about car technologies or brands or whatever but lord knows i love my car with the added autobot symbol on the back. i never learned how to drive manual but a buddy let me try his recently and i felt like i was operating some alien technology. huge ups to people who drive manual properly because lord knows if you sat me down in a manual and put my ass on any road i would probably stall 40 times before getting out of the car and just walking to wherever i needed to be. i wish modern cars still had cd players. mine does just because it was my mothers old car which got transferred to me but most cars now just have gay bluetooth or whatever brainrotting waves that people like now from what ive seen. also i feel like stereo sound in older cars are way better than ones now. sure new cars have the shit where you can move the sound up and down the car or whatever but the audio quality on my early 00s boy is significantly better than any new car ive been in. i think the stereo was made by some company who specialized in making top quality sound systems for cars but it really is so much better than modern car stereos. i should probably purchase more cds because all i have right now consists of shit that ive had my entire life like video game soundtracks and various elvis cds with the most recent addition being mj's history book 1. my favorite compact discs i own are probably the brentalfloss ones - i still love brentalfloss. y'know, the album versions of a lot of the songs are brand new recordings different from the original video versions. the only acceptions to this i believe are link to the past with lyrics, that only wily 2 cover he did with the megas, and mario land w/ lyrics. everything else is a new recording, i believe. there are a few exclusive songs on the cds too, which never got videos. 3ds streetpass with lyrics comes to mind. the version of the ducktales moon theme is so good on the album version it is unreal. significant improvement on the video version and he still keeps the line which uses "retarded" in there which is a huge plus considering he now has shunned that along with a lot of the edgy stuff in the songs. i saw a video of him doing that live show at magfest to shill his musical and he did indeed censor out retarded there. i don't think its at all good for people to step back on stuff like that. its fine to not have the same views as one did back ten years ago but something about changes to lyrics written in a different time feels wrong to me. i will never stop finding the miyamoto part in mario sunshine with lyrics funny and i know for a fact you could show that to me when im a rotting old man and ill still still remember the lyrics. the apology/content warning he added in the description honestly makes it funnier cause he says something like "w-w-well i was trying to do a non-racist depiction of a japanese voice!!!" when very clearly half of the joke was the silly accent. there was something a lot more soulful about the golden age of youtube video game content that hasn't been present for years. most things now are too sanitized and consist primarily of reviewers talking about the same games and shilling fotm garbage. i miss stupid story arcs in youtube reviews and little silly skits done for each video and not in the way that scott the woz does it because fuck scott the woz i place partial blame on him for tendie gaming discourse degrading over the years. when im talking about silly skits and gimmicks n shit i mean like game dude stuff and things of the like. i love the game dude, hope hes doing well in whatever country he is currently hiding in. his edited ed page is fucking hilarious.
