* You stumble upon an old part of the city. For some reason, everything looks blurry here.
* You are filled with the power of poorly stretched PNGs.

=== DESCRIPTION ===
This is a song I've wanted to cover for a while, and it also took me a while to cover, but after almost 2 weeks of work I -hope it was worth the wait- am fairly happy with how it turned out.

I have always loved the city in DELTARUNE Chapter 2 - how it looks, the story, the character and enemy designs, and of course the music - so it makes me happy to have finished this cover.

The inspiration to cover this came from when I had the original song on loop and started noticing instrumentation in the song that I hadn't noticed previously. Ironically, after establishing the base I found it challenging to figure out other elements like the instrumentation which wasn't sitting quite right with me for a long time, until I managed to find a balance I liked and changed the octave of one of the instruments. Thankfully other sections of the song were easier for me to work on because things seemed to fall into place more easily for them than others, so I mostly struggled with the beginning.

Originally I was planning to just cover the 'regular' version of the song, and I even exported it and started working on things for the video and editing it like that but I felt like there was something missing, and I just couldn't get the Weird Route version of the song out of my head. So, as a result I decided to start covering that section, and I quickly realised that was what I had felt was missing.

Talking of the video, this also took me quite a while to make - a similar amount of effort to my last video (thank you so much for all of the positive feedback on that video by the way!) and I tried different things here to the last one, notably having it set on the overworld (for which I tried to re-create the original teaser image Toby shared along with a work in progress version of WELCOME TO THE CITY) and having a lot more sprites moving around.

I failed to resize them properly before animating them in the video however, so they all look blurry.

..In truth I should probably be fixing that rather than writing this description, but I spent too much time setting up the keyframes and relative sizes to want to do that all again right now, so I'm sorry and I hope it isn't too distracting.

The video ends abruptly because I wanted it to be a more-or-less seamless loop, and judging by how it sounds in the editor I use it seems to be, but I think YouTube and certain video players introduce a short delay when looping the video, so apologies if it isn't.

But with all that said, I hope you like it!
