Deltarune Remix - Meta Themes Medley
19* NOW EVERYONE IS PART OF THE CIRCUS!
This started out as quite a different project, as I was originally aiming to make a faster-paced lyrical remix of The Circus, but as I kept working on it I found ways to lead into other songs and I ultimately decided to make a medley, with the theme being 'meta' songs from DELTARUNE's soundtrack.
As I kept going I gained a lot of inspiration for making these remixes, and I'm quite happy with how they all turned out. These are all songs I have wanted to, and have attempted to cover in the past, usually only to lose momentum not long after starting. Having them together in a medley with a shorter length in mind helped me commit to finishing them while also keeping them to a standard that I'm happy with.
Songs that I especially wanted to cover are Darkness Falls, Faint Glow, and Before the Story, so I'm glad to have managed to incorporate them here. I also included the as-yet-unnamed leitmotif that appears in songs like 'The Chase', 'The Door' and perhaps most notably 'Nightmare Knight' in a few places because it seemed like it could fit into many of these songs.. and because the intro part of The World Revolving is pretty much just that leitmotif wholesale. That said I realise since we don't have the full context for what that leitmotif may be associated with or tied to, it may feel out of place in the future, so apologies if that is the case when you're watching this.
This is also one of my more heavily edited videos so far, so let me know what you think! Having found a video editor (DaVinci Resolve) that I find intuitive to work with, I feel editing videos in a manner similar to this in the future is something I'd like to do for some of my bigger projects, though I don't plan to edit every video in this way unless I have an idea on what to include.
