Only subhuman degenerates can claim to have achieved true victory against Despair while having used the Charge subweapon. Using such an overpowered sidearm to cower behind an infinitely recharging shield is a morally corrupt act, a sin not even the greatest of saints can forgive. So like the respectable ubermensch I am, I hide behind my shield of finite but sufficient extra lives.

In reality, I was doing a C-Type 1CC run with alternate weapons (except for the rear shot, which I will forfeit my life before giving up) and had a particularly embarrassing Despair fight where I immediately feed 2 lives.

Picking C-Type and this set of weapons was indeed a very distinct experience from my first clear. Not having the same coverage made clearing groups of trash less consistent, while the focused firepower made certain sections like the 2-2 boss into a joke. The C-Type Sword is an incredibly fun weapon with a lot of potential that I intend to practice more with.

Feels like I'm milking a lot of ZeroRanger content lately, but it's hard to pass up the temptation of uploading raw footage that barely need editing.
