From what we currently know of the destiny 2s plot, is that we will be fighting off the invading forces of Ghaul, who's destroyed The Last City and all of our gear from the first Destiny and because of this it somewhat explains why we're starting from scratch without any of the gear we have right now. I do want to mention footage should drop around May 20th on YouTube from the people that were fortunate to go to the event on may 18.
But Bungie has potentially dropped its biggest Destiny 2 gameplay revelation yet, suggesting that the infamous Light system used to increase your Guardian’s level has been replaced.
I no your all aware of this since tons of youtubers made a video when the letter from Bungie was delivered to the people going to the event, but Light plays a pretty huge role in the Destiny, not only is it a source to level up in-game, but also fuels the Guardians’ powers and has a lot to do with the mysterious Traveler that overlooks the Last City.
Destiny 2 takes place in the aftermath of a devastating attack on the Tower by a vicious Cabal unit, which results in the Guardian population having to strike back after losing all of their equipment and precious loot. now we will be able to transfer the way are characters look of over to the sequel, just not our gear, but lets be honost, atleast for me im making a new dude since im sure there will be new customizations i want to use...... haha
Now we get into the really cool part of the video, Not only the things I just mentioned have been being talked about, but also the topic of getting weapon attatchments but done differently than other games. in the current system of destiny we get randomly rolled weapons after recieving them, but a few reddit users have been talking about the perks such as rifled barrel, range finder, braced frame, etc. the perks everyone wants. apparently what people are stating is that those perks will drop like an engram or rewarded in some other way, and instead of leveling up a weapon you use that so called weapon attachment better known as a perk on a weapon.
so for example say you get a hand cannon, once you get it there is no perks on it until you recieve a attachment to equip to it. to be honost this is really cool because it would remove the frustration of getting a weapon you love to end up recieving a crap roll. but let me no wut u think
