Destiny Myth Busters CAN you KILL OMNIGUL EARLY? Will of Crota Strike Nightfall Heroic
We went into the will of crota strike to find out if omnigul could be killed early before she went into here room. Omnigul, the Will of Crota is a Hive Wizard and boss of the Will of Crota Strike in Old Russia. She is the apprentice of Crota and is assembling an army to awaken her master.
The Will of Crota is the final mission of Eris’s quest content, where you set out to the Terrestrial Complex on Earth to slay the nasty Omnigul. In the Nightfall offering she’s crafty and has plenty of minions to keep you from her, so don’t be expecting any walk in the park.
You’ll start off spawning on the Forgotten Shore, so just jump on your new sparrow and head towards the Terrestrial Complex. You’ll meet no enemies until you reach the darkness zone, which turns out to be a tricky beginning section. You might remember the area from an early story mission when you had to down three servitors, which at the time was challenging in itself. This is much of the same, having to down waves of mostly Ultra/Major Fallen to unlock the next area.
Once the waves are completed the lasers covering the door should disappear and you can continue onto the next section. Eventually you will come to the room where you completed The Last Array mission, this time working your way outside instead of in like before. Outside the entrance will be a heap of baddies, Vandals with sniper rifles the most dangerous. Start by taking them out on both flanks and other other surrounding enemies, waiting for the waves of drop ships to stop before leaving the room. Once you thinned the crowd you and the team can start to edge towards the back section, here is where you’ll find a nasty Baron who can decimate your team in seconds. Just keep your distance and hit him with a good ample amount of fusion rifle shots while tossing the occasional grenade. Eventually he will fall and you can proceed to the next section.
The boss battle is a tale of two parts, the first of which much easier than the latter. First clear the room of any enemies, you don’t want to be distracted while trying to down Omnigul’s health. I stayed in the room with two doors for the fight, giving my team enough time to escape if rushed. She will stay up on the catwalk for the majority of the battle, using the generators as cover, popping out now and again to attack. Keep dropping her shield and hitting her with rockets and Fusion rifle shots and before you know it half her health will be gone.
Once she leaves out a loud scream its time to retreat further back, as Thralls and sword-wielding Knights storm the room quickly. Take them out and repeat the process of clearing the room and dropping Omnigul’s shield again. It’s better to not be bunched together here, given the enemies are fond of splash damage. Have two on one door and one on the other, making it impossible for your team to be wiped out in one shot. Be careful of the door situated behind you, as sometimes normal and Cursed Thralls spawn and creep up. Also watch out for the Chosen Knight on a catwalk just inside the right-hand side door, he’s behind you when you peak out to shot Omnigul, shooting you from point-blank range.
Patience is really your best weapon here. Which such a high volume of enemies to kill, this week’s Nightfall does take some time to clear. However, the reward can be great and you’ll need some top-class gear to attempt the new Crota’s End raid which is level 30 itself.
