0:34 - None of the generals at these three gates are particularly dangerous, but fighting through all of them does wear you down a bit. The nearest castle you can warp to is right next door, so it's worth heading back to heal up.

6:47 - Taishi Ci and Lu Xun (or Tai Si Ci and Lu Sun) are Wu's two best generals in this game. Amazing stats, and great recruits for a few levels if you hop back into Wu to try and pick them up. As it's going to be for the rest of the game though, we're not truly worried about heavy hits, only nasty tactics. Ce Mian all the way.

9:53 - So this is a new trick and a new track (the ultimate battle music plays for the first time here). The last fight goes right into the Sun Quan battle. This'll happen again at the end of the game. It isn't necessary this time, but if the previous fight used up too much of your TP, you can use Gui Huan to teleport away, and when you return you'll skip right to the Sun Quan encounter. Really the only particularly difficult part of the fight is having enough TP to finish it. Sun Quan only has one of the three problematic tactics, and it's the least worrisome one (Ji Mian).

14:58 - Lances are the final weapons you can purchase. After this the only upgrades are found in chests. There's an infamous bug that can cause the chests with these weapons to be empty, but that shouldn't be a problem this time. Also, it seemed like I had a lot of money until I needed to buy Lances. Fortunately, this game has an incredibly generous buyback policy. You get 75% of what an item costs back, which is much higher than most other games that offer half or even less. With that in mind I'm able to afford all of the upgrades here.
