Destiny - Raid - Vault of Glass - Part 3 (Templar - DPS Method)
0This is actually easier (and more fun) to fight as intended than it was with the Sniper Nest Method which recently got patched, so now people will need to beat the Templar as intended by the game designers.
The main observation to share is that if you fail to take out the Oracles, than the enemy waves keep getting increasingly tougher (eventually adding multiple unending Minotaurs to mix), so make sure you have someone on the other side for Oracles, and main team of 4-5 people can focus on just the Templar, and prioritize killing Oracles over anything else even if you can get Shield cleansed, and doing high DPS anytime the Boss shield is down.
The position we hold shown in the video works out well because of where it causes the Templar to position and it provides good cover, and access to taking out most of the Oracles that spawn. We just had one person on the other side to take out any Oracles on that side. Maybe 2 on other side would have worked better.
The key to any DPS Method victory is maximizing DPS each time you have opportunity to hurt the boss. Try to make sure your heavy/sniper weapons are reloaded & ready to DPS the Templar anytime his shield is taken out by the Shield person.
