DFFOO GL (Ghosts of The Past CHAOS) Galuf, Selphie, Rinoa
Leviathan Summon, Keiss EX+3LB friend
Note: All 3 characters are EX+3LB with their bloom passives. Rinoa is equipped with her sphere, Rem's and Freya's. Galuf and Selphie are equipped with their spheres. Selphie has 3x. Life of Trabia Boost ** artifacts.
Wave 1: Abadon x2 (completed on turn 9)
Wave 2: Scorpion x2, Red Scorpion (completed on turn 21)
Wave 3: Gargoyle x2 (completed on turn 29)
Instead of a mini-boss fight, we got 3 mob waves. As they are heavily leveled, they can be rather hard to fight if you are not careful. In wave 1, the Abadon can inflict the virus debuff. It will prevent the affected unit from gaining their buffs. Have Galuf his Shirahadori ability master before going through his Cover+ buff. Selphie should be fine as she always gets battery herself. In Wave 2, the Red scorpion can inflict Virus while the normal scorpion can inflict Doom (instant break upon 3 turns). So kill the red one first. The last wave is perhaps the safest. Use this opportunity to heal up.
Wave 4: Aloof Horn, Killer Bee x2 (completed on turn 98)
The boss is immune to HP Silence (no Arciela/Kefka cheese) and absorbs Dark and Holy. The battle strategy is quite simple with this team. Have Galuf Cover and Counter the boss attacks while Rinoa focusing her damage at the main boss. The splash damage from her Angel Wings will be sufficient to kill the bugs. Make sure that Galuf refreshes the buffs.
The boss could cleanse its debuffs (include framed ones) with Reflect. It can confuse an ally with its Confuse (so far in all my runs, it hasn't hit my characters yet so I presume it has a pretty low hit rate). It does Bee Feedback and gains a Shield (BRV reduction). You need to hit a certain HP threshold or use an instant breakability (e.g. Twin's EX)/ dispeller to remove the buff. With Galuf covering the ladies, this shouldn't be much a worry.
The only danger that you need to watch out for is when the boss is targeting all. Uses its Horn Blight/+ (AOE, BRV+HP attack). The safest approach is always BRV guard your party when it is targeting all.
I summon when the boss HP is around 40% and use Keiss to spam Hero Support nuke down the boss health with launches.
Do note that despite this is a safe line-up, I pretty much lacking the damage as the Aloof Horn boss is pretty tanky. You need to kill Killer Bee once. If you did that, you need to kill the main boss and the battle ends.
Note: Avoid bring tanks that have the lock. It will trigger its counter (Readying for the kill!) and forces the boss to use Horn Blight+ on its next turn. That is the reason why I use Galuf instead.
