[DFFOO JP][Sazh Lufenia+ Mission Dungeon] Caius, Vayne, Selphie delays (non-synergy)
Not much to say about this, the whole fight revolves around two things:
Doing crit damage, and boss gaining an aura (just like Gladio LC when Sabin LD came out) that makes them impervious to force break, so you either have to rainbow damage/very high Brv damage (e.g. ignore defence) or gravity shave them and break them to let you do crit damage and deactivate their defences.
Orb: +3 when crit damage is dealt
Reduction: 90/70 (Brv Dmg/Brv gain)
In theory Caius would not be optimal for this, but as long as you don't have Caius's turn (during BT) when the boss put up that force break immune aura, he should be fine as no breaks are wasted to battery the team and make Vayne do his follow-up. As a little bonus, the 1st wave of anti-force break comes with 50% max Brv (at around 25k on each boss) because of his mBrv debuff.
Not much strategy here, just break, rebreak and delay. Since boss would not have a turn, just put all the debuffs on and go ham (Selphie's LD might rinse off one debuff, so I made Vanille's def down stay and Auron's melee resist down stay). Gravity shave with Selphie when they get to 99999 Brv , put on Rapture debuff on boss when Caius BT happens, so that his force break enables launches into break battery into Vayne's follow-up in one turn. Unfortunately I was not sure if the boss would Brv gain into force break immune again after 50%, so I hesitated and did not swap Bartz in earlier for Vayne's follow-up to do max damage. Tbh when their turn order disappeared after Caius BT, I was like whatever, lost focus and just hit whoever has higher HP lol.
Could have brought Jegran here to easily shave off those brv gains with his fists of rainbow numbers, but I wanted to try and see if having no boss turn is feasible so I could drop all the debuffs at the beginning.
Also no Sazh Ex, so I cannot use him. Got a lot of his LD and a free Setzer LD from golden week draw tho lol.
