Darkyr takes inspiration from X-Com, but is otherwise very much a typical Traditional Roguelike in execution. It has some interesting gameplay choices including consumable equipment, tactical play, and so forth though to keep things interesting.

The main draw though to this entry is the amount of development that went into it. Featuring graphics, sound, music, and writing; multiple people contributed to this game. If you can get past the limited graphics of the character and the enemies you fight, this is certainly an entry to remember!
