A fully complete add-on for both FSX and Prepar3D (all versions including v4/v5) that brings the de Havilland Canada DHC-3 Otter to your flight simulator in glorious detail.
The DHC-3 is a very famous aircraft originally based on a radial engine but has been upgraded over the years with more modern engine configurations. It's a super-fun aircraft to pilot and fly and has served for many years. Its original release was in 1951 and between 1951 and 1972 over 450 were manufactured. The aircraft boasts up to eleven passengers along with a huge cargo area. The aircraft is well suited to hard-to-reach locations and still serves to this day providing that.
This particular model by Just Flight encapsulates the entire aircraft description mentioned above with complete compatibility for your copy of either FSX or P3D. Many users are still using Lockheed Martin's Prepar3D (even with the new MSFS) and most are staying strong to see what they release with their P3D version iterations.
The model features a complete aircraft along with custom textures, cockpit, and flight dynamics. A fully animated and interactive VC (virtual cockpit) is included adding some extra realism. 3D instrumentation along with complete gauges and layouts based on the real-world aircraft are included.
There is a brand-new wear & tear system to simulate the use of the aircraft based on flights, workload, and endurance.
Many liveries are included which can be selected within the simulator. They are based on popular designs from both civilian and military operations.
The entire model is accurate and modeled on the real-world aircraft and there are numerous keys and functions available to ensure the virtual aircraft performs are the real-world would.
The entire engine design is accurate and includes both start/stutter effects as well as volumetric prop effects. The airframe has been redesigned and it renders within the sim a complete and accurate model including; pilot tubing, aerials, and many more of the minor "attention to details".
The pilots available within the aircraft are suited and dressed in the attire that would be expected for the aircraft and the era.
The model features (and uses) realistic bump mapping along with specular mapping in order to make the visual aircraft much more accurate,.
The entire cabin area has been designed in 3D and you can view it within the sim when flying. Cargo areas, cockpits, and even signed of wear and tear have been included.
The cockpit instruments are accurate and have added animations to ensure they react and reproduce realistic readings based on the simulation scenario.
The aircraft can be started electronically or even by hand-crank if needed - both procedures have been faithfully and accurately reproduced within the simulated model. Also included is a completely cold/dark start-up scenario for truly realistic flights.
Avionics are fully custom offering access to NAV and ILS approach control as well as VOR/ADF receivers.
There is an additional feature of throw-over control columns which allow each management depending on the seat you wish to fly in - left or right.
Liveries included;
Wheel. US Navy (144672), US Army (53270), Alexandair (C-FJZN) and TAA 'Sunbird' (VH-SBR).
Ski. Wardair (CF-IFF) & British Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (XL710).
