The original Airbus A320 Neo (A32NX) by FlyByWire development team for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) 2020 release.
While Microsoft Flight Simulator already has a default A320 Neo, this package and development aim to bring that beautiful bird up to stunning accuracy and detail by building upon the default Microsoft offerings.
The entire project is completely open-source and any developer or anyone with expertise in the field of flight simulation aircraft development may contribute their edits/code changes to the project via GitHub. Many freeware developers that have worked on previous revisions of Flight Simulation already have.
This project includes some great features such as;
A fully functional "electronic flight bag" including a settings pane, configuration pane, and performance reporting tools all presented in an in-game (in-cockpit) tablet/iPad type display.
The entire sound-pack of the A320 Neo included is completely custom and based upon real-world aircraft and edited/designed by experienced flight sim developers.
There is full integration with "Simbrief" which makes flight plan filing and the general set-up to flight (realistic flight) much easier than before.
There is also a custom installer available from the developer (EXE) which removes the need for drag/drop install.
Changes to the codebase are made almost daily so the project is always under development and new features, changes, and bug fixes are applied often. You can even contribute your own changes via the GitHub master.
Full documentation and support documents are provided which aim to guide the first-time pilot into the stunning cockpit of the A320 Neo in glorious detail.
Finally, the entire project is open source and completely freeware and is released by the developer (FlyByWire) under the GNU General Public License v3.0 license.
We expect great things from this pack for Microsoft Flight Simulator and over the next few months and weeks new features will be added, bugs will be fixed and this (freeware) development is already much greater of a pack than the default MSFS A320 Neo.
