159,546The original script and concept was actually drastically different. Originally, the film was going to have the title, Project 880. In the script, Sully has never seen a forest due to Earth’s environmental issues, and Grace actually has to help him through much of the woods scenes. Sully’s Avatar is literally born, and he cries after being able to walk again. We find out that the Avatar program was originally created to train Na’vi to be a workforce for the humans to save on expenses, but they rebel. One of the Avatar controllers burns out thanks to his Avatar dying while he’s still in it. In fact, he does the deed himself because he fell in love with a Na’vi woman who got killed by the military force. In the end, Grace survives the soul transfer as well.
