6,700There were actually three actors that the studio said could play as Blade. Wesley Snipes, Denzel Washington, and Laurence Fishburne were all considered for the role by New Line Cinema. It was David Goyer who pitched the idea of a Blade movie, and he felt that Wesley was the only choice for the character. Wesley was more interested in doing a Black Panther movie, and he didn’t know anything about Blade.
