Celebrated filmmaker Quentin Tarantino admitted that during editing, a large number of scenes ended up in the cutting room, as he deemed them “too violent for the audience”. The film marked several firsts for Tarantino, his first movie to make $100 million along with the longest shooting schedule for one film, filming for 132 days straight. This was also actor Leonardo Di Caprio’s second film playing the antagonist, although the role in “Unchained” being so racially explicit and aggressive, left him feeling traumatized.
