The film recounts the story of a whaling ship attacked by its biggest & vengeance-hungry rival, a sperm whale. Despite being portrayed as the antagonist, whales, all types, are very calm & gentle in nature. It is claimed the bigger the size of a whale is, the calmer & gentler they are. The only opposition would be the Killer Whale or Orca, who are believed to be the only marine species besides some dolphins, who enjoy killing & inflicting pain for fun. There have only been a few incidents where a whale has attacked humans, & those were primarily, always, the human’s fault.
