A lot of people have at least heard of Mirror's Edge, but fewer people might know that a reimaging of the game was actually put together. This came in the form of Mirror's Edge Catalyst which is what you see above. From what I've heard, this game, while selling reasonably well, wasn't that well received by critics.
As of this recording, no more entries were being added to the series. Was it the result of parkour falling out of favour by this point in time or was it because the game itself wasn't as good as it could have been? That's one of many questions I hope to answer for myself playing this one.
Indeed, playing through this one, I really got the sense that controls, at least the default controls, were very different from your standard game. for instance, you might assume that "A" would be the jump button, but as I found out while playing this title, it is actually left button instead. What's more, crouch is left trigger. So, the first thing that I noticed is the fact that controls are going to take some getting used to - especially after confusing the two from time to time. It'll be interesting if that becomes second nature to me after a while.
With that said, I wanted to hear from you. What did you think of this game? Was this an interesting game that flew under the radar or did you find this game a bit lacking?
