I'm planning to record a Nuzlocke of Cyber Sleuth, but before I committed to it, I needed to know if it was possible to win this fight deathless, WITHOUT building a dedicated team meant to do just that.

See, BanchoLeomon is scripted to one-shot two members of your team after his HP is brought under half and uses a buff called "It's Hot!", and if any are revived or switched in, he'll one-shot those too. There's a way to take him out and skip this phase entirely, but it requires building specific Digimon with specific movesets... something that I might not be able to do in a Nuzlocke with a Linear Evolution clause. And without dupes ideally. There's also no guarantee that you'll have Mega stage Datas, so I wanted to find a strategy doable with Ultimates. I settled on a level cap of 45 too, since that's the level that most Ultimates will have all their inherited skills.

I tried fielding Knightmon/Triceramon/Volcanomon for maximum defense boosting support skills. That didn't work. I tried equipping 3 Shine Guard DX on everyone to bring Flashy Boss Punch's damage down to 10%. That didn't work, since apparently the scripted one-shots always do 100% of the target's remaining HP. But then I realized that you can switch a Digimon out in place of an empty slot. This... actually has a use here.
