Though it's obviously an early attempt to bring an NES game to the portable platform and as a result makes some fairly heavy concessions - the game has been smashed down to a mere 64k! All things considered, it makes a for a good effort. The sound suffers badly with one less channel to work with from the NES, but the graphics are surprisingly close and the mechanics feel familiar.
I always preferred to think of this as an alternate game than as an adaptation or a port. In restructuring the levels to better suit the GB's small screen, they all now feel like remixes, making the enitr game feel like an new take on the NES classic. If you love the NES game but know it through and through, try this out. You'll find more of the same to love, just in a more humble package.
