Divinity Original Sin II Stream 31 - Steve helps the Paladins with their investigation & Spores!
1We enter into Divinity Original Sin II with our good old pal Steve from the first series we did on Divinity Original Sin, and we enter a Modded file with augmented effects due to mods! Will he survive this wacky world as a skeleton going solo in this horrible world with no cheese, or will he die a gruesome death?!
For this stream, we have a few save hiccups and learn a few new things about Diplomacy. Apparently, if you choose a socially acceptable option the people want to hear, and you are facing someone at level 16-20, the difficulty of the diplomacy average if you out scale their stat for that diplomacy option by 2 points means you win the check! After a few failed missteps, I managed to finally get a good run an hour in, learning as many things as possible in the range of the Paladin Hideout that they claimed from the Magisters, although it does seem that evidence that the lower rank and file was not the problem, but rather the white magisters that were causing the disruption, not that we have proof, given most of the Magisters were dead when we found them. To that end, after exploring everything except the lead on the missing 200 prisoners and the sewers, I opted to explore a secret entrance I found nearby, finding our good friend, the elf we found in the second part of the game completely consumed by the very suit of armor she swore to use to protect her home! Given the circumstances, I opted for violence, and got rid of the threat to the city, or at least one of many to come! Next stream we will learn of the fate of the demons over by that playground we arrived at (So it seemed), and we will return back to learn more about these 200+ missing prisoners that supposedly escaped in the sewers, who were likely criminals, the lot of them! All this and more shall be done next stream!
