4Hey players, DJay here with a new PlayStation longplay on an arcade gallery shooter of the 90's, Time Crisis.
Description of the game:
Time Crisis is an arcade light gun shooter by Namco released in arcades worldwide in December 1995 on the Namco Super System 22 hardware. It was ported over on the PlayStation in June 1997 in Japan and in international regions in November 1997 and ported over on the PlayStation 2 in December 2002 exclusively in Japan. It is the third light gun shooter series by Namco, following the Steel Gunner series and the original Gun Bullet/Point Blank. Richard Miller appears again in 1997 Time Crisis II (PlayStation 2 port only), in 2001 Time Crisis: Project Titan, in 2006 Time Crisis 4 (under the name X) and in Shiftylook's dating sim game, Namco High. The game itself cameos in 1996 Rage Racer, spotted on the billboards.
In the year 1996, the people of Sercia overthrew the Imperial Rule of Sherudo Garo, an evil dictator who is believed to be the last in the family. They elected William MacPherson as the republic's first democratic president. Angered by this, Sherudo teamed up with a terrorist organization known as Wild Dogs to revert Sercia back to its original autocratic state. 3 months later in August, William's daughter, Rachel, was relaxing at home until something happened... Sherudo had held her captive. After being alerted of his own daughter's kidnapping, the president calls the V.S.S.E. (Vital Situation, Swift Elimination) international protection agency and sends in one of their top agents, Richard Miller, to save Rachel from the Wild Dog terrorist organization.
The game is composed of 3 stages, each subdivided into 4 areas. The first 3 areas are normal stages and the fourth area is a boss area where the player is pitted against a boss. Players must aim the gun on the screen where the enemies are located and shoot to defeat them and must avoid damage from enemy attacks by hiding behind the cover, which is also important should the player run out of bullets. Each enemy must be shot down to proceed to the next zone. Some enemies can award extra seconds for a time extension if shot quick enough. Some areas can contain explosives that eliminates multiple enemies within a close proximity. Players must also not waste too much time while shooting enemies. If hit by an enemy, the player will lose a life. If too much damage is sustained or if the time expires, the player is opted to continue and resume from the past checkpoint.
Eliminate the Wild Dogs terrorist organization and save the president's daughter.
