DmC reboot - Glitches/Bugs - The quirks of complexity
this is the last thing i'm doing with DmC: dmc: dmc: dmc: dm...oh wait. just to flush out the last big thing in my mind. i'll take a break from this game, hopefully for ever. unless there's sth far dumber for me to troll, but i doubt that.
my personal theory is that the complexity of anything is directly proportionate to the number of possible failing points. ai that's supposedly complex is bound to be a potential for errors.
//two witches, one bubble.
- testing this in hope of getting a double bubble conflict & what not, but it didn't happen. the most i get is a sudden temporary freeze from a dreamrunner mid action, another is when i detonate some kablooey darts when it got bubbled in midair. it floated a bit, but can't see what happened due the bubble. a few times i managed to shoot a witch with which still a bubble perfectly intact. does that usually happen?
- the extra witch, i find, does not interact with other enemies & vice versa. she doesn't bubble other enemy & she doesn't receive a bubble herself. she's just happy to be there i guess.
- the biggest challenge to this is not that they're difficult, it's the player got hampered by the wild flailing camera & the auto targeting system that doesn't make up it's bloody mind what to target. also the bubbled dreamrunner is just undetectable alongside another bubbled witch.
- also successfully parrying bubbled enemy only to get bounced back by the bubble looks rather stupid.
- similar to the extra witch in downfall, i found that she doesn't need to die in order for the game to progress. so u could get her all the way to the roof & beyond the furthest stars. u also don't need to get her inside the elevator. she can float. i accidentally killed her midway.
- i guess the only stuff left checking out is will they glitch in other ways or what happens when dOnte die in the elevator, or how funny it will look if i implant angel lift's grapple through the elevator. but i just am too fed up to care anymore.
//over 9000!!!!!
- super saiyan counters failed angel lift with helmbreaker & failed demon pull with stomp. he also queues blistering swords when shot a few times, regardless of lift or pull. implications stated below.
- his judgement cut & rapid slash has the most unbelievable property to rebound aerial flush.
- at certain conditions, vergin's b.swords can shoot from where it's inputted rather than following vergin like shoulder mounted turrets. at one specific location however, i managed to even get super saiyan's b.sword to behave that way.
- at that same spot, i can sometimes get him to turn into literally, a "hollow" vergin during the mid battle scenes. though i believe he's just off screen due to the camera.
- one time i got super saiyan to start his flurry of attacks from a distance. apparently he is programmed to just react to attack, regardless of relative position.
- u can fire a ridiculous amount of swords at super saiyan utilising the failed lift/pull's stagger, & that can get him to queue up blistering sword also at a ridiculous rate. sometimes his blistering sword can fire at a different direction into empty air, but not in this vid.
- super saiyan isn't programmed to actually die. the devs just used a long ass slow-mo to hammer in the message in us that he's defeated. if u lift or pull at the right moment, u can get his presumably dead body to warp back to counter as the screen fades out.
- dodge cancel is his only weakness #214.
- funny how vergin does not auto target with aerial flush but he does with summoned swords, at the same enemy, same displacement.
