DmC reboot - Glitches/Bugs - Under Watched
1i tried a few more attempts to explore what the developers didn't want us to. chose the "under watch" mission by random, & ended up skipping half the mission unintentionally.
- the 1st one is when i skipped the battle trigger, & re-triggered it.
- restarted, i skipped the battle entirely, but fell down the pit on the next trigger, which the game then put a wall behind me, which if not i could return to the fountain. skipping the prev battle made dOnte keep falling.
- not sure if it was due to skipping the prev battle or coz i dodged his arse in, but dOnte was once again succumbed to his out of body experience. like in the mundus mission, the camera, albeit can freely move, was locked to the dOnte idle model instead of the cutscene, where the model was missing. notice his model was lit independent of the surrounding.
- the ice thingy can refrigerate dOnte even when he's in another dimension, if the description for angel dodge is anything to go by.
- the area where the stairs collapse, dOnte can shout his way upward instead. where if he falls in that area or the area before, he has to do the run again, all which i did & chopped out.
- the one instance i fell forever, i took the opportunity to demonstrate that arbiter's drop can also be made invisible using the gun-charge release trick. arbiter normally reappears when it hits the ground.
- after a certain distance forward, the game respawned dOnte in the church after i accidentally fell down before the map fully loaded, which also skipped another battle. not sure if it's due to skipping either or both battle(s), or the previous triggers before the collapsing church, or because of the way dOnte got spawned in, the mission cannot be completed.
for vergil, i was planning mess up event triggers using the doppelganger portal entry method, which worked really well in his second mission. but my gamepad raised the white flag & took itself out so it couldn't be done for now.
