DmC reboot - Glitches/Bugs - Fear the whip
combat mechanics not broken they said. play however we want they encouraged. what's to fix they asked... yep. i like the term "however" coz it sounds like it means what i & a LOT others have found, legit?
- demon pull can be cancelled by jumping extremely early before the pull.
- cancelling demon pull during the period between grappling and pulling can freeze practically ALL ground lightweight enemies.
-- update; tested on harpies when shot off wings, it works.
-- update; tested with baby rage, it works as well
-- witch(es) float, so they don't freeze, or i was just not successful.
-- somehow wasn't able to demon pull ghost rage in DT, dunno why, didn't re-test.
-- frozen enemies unfroze if rammed with angel lift or angel glide, unless JCed early.
-- also unfroze if they choose to react to dOnte's actions. enemy specific.
- the Houdini boundary.
- DTed coloured knights will block ANYTHING, even if they're immune, EVEN if they don't have a shield.
- apparently one divinity statue IS available during combat... virility mission, just before the mixing room. not sure if my eccentric mission progression has anything to do with it.
- green juice, including from succubus, can freeze uppercut. when frozen, only jump, DT & maaaaaybe dodge, can free dOnte. i've been having trouble trying to demonstrate this visually, until i remember the gun-charge release graphic glitch.
- some detailed "analysis" of dreamrunner's 3d model & the absolute worst possible ending for a vid i could've ever spliced in. viewer discretion is advised.
