DmC reboot - Glitches/Bugs - Donte's mating Ceremony
0this is actually a follow-up to the short HoH specials vid, but uploaded separately due to obvious reasons.
messing up the trigger, AND using angel whip at a specific brief moment, slows down the ENTIRE mission. it doesn't require grappling anything, & there could be more ways for it to happen. i just happened to recreate it a few times using said method. & if memory serves me right, it even carries over to the QTEs afterwards.
with the aid of vid editing tools, i approximate that the game slowed down to roughly 6 times the normal speed. should my eyes not betray me that badly.
these following descriptions are to elaborate some key stuffs that are in the vid, just in case you guys are sane enough to not watch beyond the 1st half a minute.
- i did NOT win the battle, i sacrificed my last life to glitch her again.
- some cutscenes play at normal speed, but resumed slo-mo immediately afterwards.
- BGM died after a while, resumed after cutscenes.
- some graphic & dialogue flaws in the cutscenes.
this vid might be useful to those who wanna understand the game's mechanic & shit, or how the devs/artists depend on the high framerate to hide clipping & lighting issues, or maybe 3d animation for the intent of interactive media although i didn't do a good job at performing a bit more stuff, especially the weird/glitchy ones as examples of how-and-when-shit-hits-the-fan.
personally though, it's just me justifying to myself, to render this bloody thing coz i'm NOT doing THIS again anytime soon. maybe one day i'll take one too many cups of coffee to be psychotic enough to try to slow her down, again, maybe in H&H.
