Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition PS5, Turbo Mode,
Dante vs Goliath, Bloody Palace, Floor 20, No Damage

Wassup. This is my first real boss run for DMC5, I guess. Once again I'm testing and feeling out a lot of things with this video before I standardize the video formula I'm gonna use for this game. Some complaints about Turbo Mode and other notes below.

So. Turbo Mode makes the game run in 1.2x speed. I've been playing on Turbo for a couple of weeks now and honestly, I'm not sure if I like it. It's more or less the best way to screw up all the things you thought you had burned into your muscle memory, and there have been times in the Palace with Dante where my mind can't keep up with the speed because I try not to auto-pilot when playing this game. It's also nightmare fuel on combos for a scrub like me who just learned sum basic bich combos in the normal version of the game.

Also also, think of my poor Circle button Royal Guarding this man's belly beam in 1.2x speed. orz

On the other hand, the pace actually feels just right in Boss fights and somehow it feels as if tight windows like Royal Release, Max Act and Judgement Nut are easier. Doubt that this is actually the case, but I seem to hit these more consistently on Turbo.

The other other thing about Turbo is that it's gonna make the videos 20% shorter. So overall not really sure how I feel about it and unsure if I will continue to use it. Legit feel like the game is fast enough as is, but we will see.

Okay, now some notes. Firstly, this is DMC5SE and the very first video I recorded from my ps5. The HD60 capture card I got is still compatible with the 5 and I ain't got no 4K TV or money to get a better card so 1080p60 gonna be the norm around here for quite a while, I think.
The ps5 built-in recording does 1080p at 60 which is quite nice and it seems like the bitrate it captures in is mostly decent which is impressive. Kinda contemplating if I still needa use my Capture Card for recording on the 5.

But for this video though, I tried encoding in a reasonably higher bitrate than what I normally use. I'm not sure if it'll be noticable, but that's part of one of the things I'm feeling out here. The other thing is that the audio may be a little bit too loud, but hey, you can rock out with your junk out to The Only Thing I Know For Real, or complain in the comments if it's too loud.

The final thing I'm testing is a relaxed, hands-off uploading schedule for this game. I want my videos to be actually kind of decent-ish so I'm not gonna be popping out DMC5 stuff every week. Gonna take my time to practice, learn and try to record something good.

Bonus: According to the ps5, my ps4 DMC5 playtime is 622 hours and I've already got 72 hours on DMC5SE.
Imagine putting in all that playtime and still being ass at the game.

Send help.
