For centuries, adventurers and explorers have ventured into the jungle in search of El Dorado, the legendary city of gold. However, the harsh terrain and thick canopy of the rainforest have made it difficult to uncover its secrets. That is, until now.
In this video, we delve into the fascinating world of lost civilisations in the Amazon and the latest technology that is helping to uncover their secrets. Lidar, a remote sensing technology that uses lasers to create detailed 3D maps of the terrain, has revolutionized the way we explore the rainforest. By using Lidar, researchers have been able to uncover vast networks of ancient settlements, roads, and structures that were previously hidden from view.
We also explore the history of adventurers like Percy Fawcett, who famously disappeared while searching for El Dorado in 1925.
