Dominating Cerberus in Hades 2: Top Tricks Exposed
Wazzup Everyone, welcome back to another video guide on how to beat Cerberus in hades 2.
The key to this fight is keeping your distance and taking your time. Cerberus has some heavy-hitting, close-range attacks that can really drain your HP, so staying close for too long is a bad idea. You can sneak in from behind to land two or three hits before retreating, but don't push your luck beyond that.
Cerberus is a damage sponge, but his attacks are fairly easy to dodge if you keep your distance. The real challenge comes from the red clouds floating around the battlefield. These clouds depress Melinoe and slow down time, making it harder to dodge Cerberus's attacks, especially when you're close to him. He also summons minions in the first and second phases, so it's best to take out the minions quickly so you can focus on Cerberus.
The arena is large, which is a blessing in this fight. Use the space to avoid Cerberus's fiery jaws, paw slams, red circles, and flamethrower attacks. When Cerberus takes short breaks between moves, that's your chance. Dash in, land a couple of hits, and retreat before he attacks again. If you have long-range weapons like the Umbral Flames or Argent Skull, it'll be easier to keep your distance and avoid his attacks.
Always aim for the center of Cerberus's back when you attack. Most of his attacks come from the front, and even his double paw slam behind him doesn't reach the center of his back.
When Cerberus buries himself and summons minions, you're in Phase 2. He won't come back until you defeat the minions, so take this time to catch your breath. The second half of the fight is more intense. In this phase, Cerberus's attacks are similar, but he adds a flamethrower move. He sucks in air and then breathes out fire, chasing you around the arena. If you're far away, just outrun the fire. If you're close, you can attack his back while he uses the flamethrower, dealing significant damage.
The red circle attack also gets tougher in Phase 2. These red circles explode with glowing wolf heads, and there are more of them in this phase. They can move around the arena, making them harder to dodge. Try to find small safe spots between the circles if you get trapped, but otherwise, stay away from them while hitting Cerberus with long-range attacks. It's no longer safe to sneak up and deal damage, so stick to long-range attacks to conserve your Death Defiances for Chronos. Be patient and avoid getting greedy with your attacks. Slow and steady wins the fight against Cerberus.
When you finally defeat Infernal Cerberus, you'll earn a Tear as your reward.
