As you enter the Shadow-Spiller's arena, your screen will be shrouded in darkness, leaving only a small window of visibility centered on the Shadow-Spiller. This boss is protected by armor, reducing the damage of your attacks until the armor is broken.
Additionally, two hidden enemies will frequently attack you with fast-moving, vine-crawling projectiles that travel in straight lines. Your initial focus should be on locating and defeating these two vine-launching enemies. Track their location by observing the direction from which the vines originate, then head in that direction to confront and eliminate them.
With the vine-launching enemies defeated, you can turn your attention to the Shadow-Spiller. The boss employs two primary attacks. The first is a tail swipe that delivers heavy damage in an arc towards your direction. The second is a tail slam that targets your current position, dealing substantial damage in a circular area. Both attacks are powerful but relatively slow, giving you ample time to react. Your primary strategy should be to dodge frequently and reposition yourself to the opposite side of the boss's tail. Take advantage of openings to land your attacks, but prioritize maintaining your mobility.
The Sister Blades are ideal for this fight due to their high mobility, allowing you to dodge between attacks effectively.
Alternatively, the Witch's Staff or Umbral Flames are great options for ranged attacks, enabling you to keep your distance and avoid the Shadow-Spiller's assaults altogether. By staying mobile and focusing on strategic dodging, you'll gradually wear down the Shadow-Spiller and emerge victorious.
