Don't Leave Without Ahmed! (Cutscene Oddities In Valley Of The Kings, Tomb Raider Last Revelation)
Welcome to Valley Of The Kings, the third level of the Valley Of The Kings section from Tomb Raider Last Revelation.
In this video I show you some oddities involving the start of the level and the cutscene where Ahmed usually gets into his vehicle. The normal way of going about the level is to kill six enemies which triggers the cutscene where Ahmed gets into his vehicle.
However, from playing around I was able to produce some absurdities with Ahmed and the cutscene. I begin by showing you that if you kill the sixth enemy with an explosive then Ahmed doesn't feature. You can then get into your vehicle and drive off while the opposing vehicle also drives off, presumably without Ahmed inside of it. It is vital that you don't kill the first enemies with explosives as this results in other enemies not showing up, including the one who drops the keys for your vehicle, resulting in you being without the keys to your vehicle.
The next thing that I show you is that by using a cheat you can obtain the vehicle keys without needing to kill any of the enemies. You can then get into your vehicle, resulting in the opposing vehicle driving off. If you then kill the enemies with non-explosives then the cutscene with Ahmed takes place except there's no vehicle for him to get into. When you do get into your vehicle after doing the cheat, there is an enemy who is stood near your vehicle. It's crucial that this enemy doesn't get blown up by the grenade that gets dropped by the opposing vehicle as this will result in there not being the cutscene with Ahmed. Instead, you have to kill the enemy with your vehicle or a non-explosive gun. Doing it with a non-explosive gun is probably the most reliable way of going about it. I do show you this and park my vehicle in a position where it would be in Ahmed's way during the cutscene. Ahmed walks straight through your vehicle and heads to where his vehicle is meant to be, but it's not there due to the fact that it left beforehand.
The final thing that I show you is that if you kill five of the enemies so that you only have one enemy left to kill in order to trigger the cutscene with Ahmed, then if you shoot a grenade in the direction of where Ahmed first appears (during the cutscene) and quickly kill the sixth enemy with a non-explosive gun then it's possible for Ahmed to walk through explosions from the grenade. Although, the explosion doesn't appear to harm him in any sort of way.
