Gameplay of Perdition's Gate, an unofficial commercial expansion for Doom II with 32 maps. I play in Ultra-Violence difficulty and I get all the secrets except one, in the 3rd map it was impossible to find it, and searhing information, it is in an inaccessible sector, so it can actually be said that I get them all.

About this Perdition's Gate, as far as I know, its creators, fans of the Doom community, contacted id Software to be one of the Final Doom campaigns, but it was rejected for being submitted after the deadline. Then, it was marketed by a distributor without the license, something that sometimes happened back then. In any case, I think its quality is superior to other similar cases.

I play it in Doom95 on a Windows 98 emulated with DOSBox-X. Why? Basically for nostalgia, because in its day I played a lot this version of Doom officially ported to Windows 95 (initially programmed by Gabe Newell, by the way), and to vary a little with respect to the usual GZDoom.

On the other hand, since I think the soundtrack is quite good, I have configured DOSBox-X to play the W98 midi with a soundfont that imitates the sound of the Roland SC-55 midi module, for which the original Doom music was composed.
