Comments:
Speed run for this one is a pretty simply arch-vile jump. But 2 seconds is possible if the arch-vile decides to immediately start his attack at the start. I could never get the thing to cooperate, to 3(.23) is as fast as that gets for me.

The max is pretty linear, only way to get faster is to get lucky. I think the major two places where my time could have been better is right at the start with the Pain Elemental dying in two SSG blasts instead of three, and right after getting the secret, not wasting time before jumping back to the mainland.
