A new monster in a boom map? This is madness! Actually this is MBF. Either way, the first time I encountered the little flying buggers I was rather startled. The plasma they fling also hurts pretty bad.

As for the run, the first section is definitely the hardest. The first wave of enemies is simple enough, just a slow clear and health conserving approach worked the best. After flipping the switch it gets harder. The second wave is full of high dps monsters that will murder you quickly if you let them. Running back to the soulsphere like I did was quite risky, but, it proved to be a very fast strategy, making all the enemies approach my position instead of having to go find them. After the blue key is a simple linear gauntlet with a few high tier monsters. Nothing some rockets and chaingun can't handle!
