Just for fun, I decided to check out how well my 2011 gaming rig would run DOOM (2016) after I removed the old GTX 580 and replaced it with a GTX 970 (purchased several years ago but never used before). As it turns out, this wonderfully optimized piece of demon-busting software runs rather nicely on mostly High settings, despite the aging CPU and modest amount of RAM.
