Rise of the Tomb Raider [3D Vision Gameplay #2] - The Revenant
Note: This is a stereoscopic 3D video. Aside from various VR options, YouTube support for non-2D content is limited these days. Playing this video directly from the browser with the actual hardware being used to record it - i.e. NVIDIA's 3D Vision - is no longer possible. However, you can download the video file using third-party software and watch it offline.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is not my favorite Lara Croft game. I've only played the Crystal Dynamics entries, and of them the Anniversary remastered edition of TR1 was probably the most memorable one (even though that game and Shadow of the Tomb Raider are the only CrystalD Tomb Raiders I haven't actually finished). RoTR's exciting and pleasantly sun-baked introduction in Syria is quickly succeeded by a wintry Siberia with sad Soviet ruins and angry brown bears, and while these environments are more interesting than the apocalypse-laden jungles of SoTR, it's still a noticeable step down from the austere but mystical island of Yamati from Tomb Raider 2013.
As far as the 3D Vision support concerned, however, RoTR appears to be the most rewarding of the three games in the reboot trilogy. It does have more technical issues than TR 2013, but the superior graphics also means there's more to work with both in regular gameplay and scripted cutscenes.
