I dusted off my old Mac from 1995 that has been in storage for over 20 years. It still works fine and so does the original DOOM II CD.
The controls feel a bit awkward though after playing modern games. If you choose mouse control the mouse is used not only for turning the camera left and right but also for moving Doomguy forward and backward! With keyboard only control the strafing keys messes with my brain and makes it very difficult. I would probably need to play for many hours to get used to it.
