I remember it well when I first entered.. Last Call, TNT Evilution's boss map, I was stuck for nearly 3 hours because of that damn torch puzzle, I did eventually figure it out and that's what makes last call different from Doom II's Icon of Sin, and Plutonia Experiment's "Gateway To Hell", We had to go through a entire level just to confront the icon of sin, And Revilution does the same thing with this level, It's the only level that takes advantage of the DeHacKed file built into it and makes Last Call look like hackwork, This.. Is Malignata, One of the most harrowing boss maps I've seen in a player made wad.

We are now outside the massive supercomputer that the demons of hell have constructed to house the icon of sin's mind, That cannot be allowed so it's time to bring the fight to the computer, The entire level is a strange mix of Blood, Flesh, Metal, Plastic, Wires, Wood, and corruption that feels as evil as it plays, Our first custom monster meets us almost as soon as we enter:The Plasma Turret, I fucking hate this thing, It fires plasma like the Arachnotrons and cannot be destroyed, We then meet the 2nd monster after we, funny enough, telefrag a cybderemon with a zombieman to get the blue key, These "Spawn Cubes" are a remixed monster spawn that vanish and generate a random monster which is quite creative.

The outdoor Plasma turret area with rising towers loaded with over 7 turrets shooting at you with plasma was pissing me off so much in the past, it's still not that easy but it beats dealing with the corridor next:We meet the Rocket Turret which fires Cyberdemon rockets, This part stopped me in my tracks in vanilla doom for a while, I only got through it with perhaps dumb luck, Then we drop into the lava room and have to wait on a lowering door to access a portal to reach the supercomputer's "CPU", Unlike the typicial Icon of Sin we have to destroy the mechanical cord or spinal cord that the machine had plugged into by pressing switches to raise a platform right dead center above where you warp in, It seems simple right? Well, with a mod yeah but Vanilla doom is much different.

As soon as you warp in, you'll be seeing monsters warping in from the spawn cubes including a Cyberdemon, Spider MasterMind, Arch-Vile, Pinky Demons and, Being peppered by nearly 10 Plasma turrets and 4 cyberdemon rocket turrets which is...yeah not pleasant, Then once we fire a few rockets the computer explodes, and that is the end of the megawad.

Side note, I had swapped the boss track "Trampled uNderneaTh" by Bucket for "Ionian Isolation" from Transdusction, composed by Eris Falling because while the boss track is intimidating and scary, It doesn't match the ambience of Ionian Isolation, The two mappers of Malignata, Obsidian (famous for the Abysmal Speedmapping Sessions and MAYhem series) and Dobu Gabu Maru pieced together a solid final map to wrap up this mortdeth winner of the cacoawards, Even if TNT 2 Devilution never happens, This megawad is worthy of having the same name as Evilution.
