Strange Aeons tells the story of the "Nameless Traveler", A researcher of Miskatonic University who, having lost his son is on a quest through parallel worlds to find a way to get him back, Strange Aeons is heavily inspired by the work of horror author H.P. Lovecraft, however, This mod also gives me a big Silent Hills vibe with it's odd and unusual mapping and moody music/atmosphere.
You've got a basic staff that oddly works like the Chainsaw, An Ak-47 and other weapons, new monsters and various power-ups and 45 maps through 5 Episodes made for Ultimate Doom with either Zdoom or GZDoom source-port, The mod gets quite hard as you get further in but Mike McDee's Strange Aeons is a pleasant surprise for a horror inspired mod.
