0https://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=68111 Ever since I tried Doom 4 Vanilla, It seems that Eternal, The newest Doom video game has actually set the world on fire with it's gameplay and it's soundtrack..and also it's appearance on the Nintendo Switch, I didn't really like it much just like Doom 2016 but I get that Doom is big with not only modding but with it's main video games.
This April 2020 mod is by DoomKrakken, It's a gameplay mod that adds the weapon mods, combat mechanics, upgrade system, HUD, and movement of Doom 2016 using the GZDoom or LZDoom source port, The gameplay is just like in Doom 2016 where you start with your Infinite ammo pistol as you move through whatever IWAD you are running with EOA and playing as it was the modern Doom game.
All enemies now have a critical state when they are nearly fatally injured similar to Doom 2016, All weapons behave like in Doom 2016 along with the unique melee combat system, The only thing EOA does not have is glory kills but that I think is a good thing as It might've been pretty tough to program? This one's alright but Doom 4 Vanilla I feel is a better Doom 2016 mod.
