0Concepts wads are alright but they haven't impressed me like I thought they would, Some just seem impossible or stupid while others like Cyberdreams are good but you need to be an master at certain skills to continue, While others take what seems like an unexpected concept and does an decent job of.
Doom 2 In Name Only is an concept wad that begs to ask the question, What if.. Doom 2 was never released? This wad attempts to answer that by having 32 levels that are inspired by Doom 2 and in turn this wad was inspired by Doom 2 The Way I.D. Did, Another concept wad trying to make levels as close as possible to what Doom 2''s levels were.
The mapping is alright, Though it's tough to figure out where to go next as some areas are not clear or have vary few features that you would expect to indicate where an key may be located, The secrets levels were the weakest of the 32 maps and did not feel at all unique in terms of content.
Don't bother using an Source Port like I did, D2INO is one of several wads (like Resurgence) that disables jumping in the source port in an attempt to keep the experience pure Vanilla, So you will have to practice and keep those running jumps perfected as you get further into this wad...
