Doom Wads/Mods The Rejected #100:Doom 3 Mr. Smiley Head's Safari
https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/combos/d3safv60 ..Our destination has arrived, all good things do come to a end, but Doom will always be eternal. Its come down to the end of this amazing special of nearly 100 files that were put aside across what will soon be 17 seasons of Doom Wads/Mods, and with this episode, This massive project draws to a close with one of the more controversial wads out there, which was rejected from Season 4.
Doom 3: Mr. Smiley Head's Safari goes back to 1995 by Impact Software consisting of Ken Wu, Calvin Wong, Anthony Ong, Mike Tam, Jonathan Chang and John Wei with additional credit to Flying Bear Software and is controversial because the original file had a Doom.Exe application which goes against the I.D. Archive's upload rules and contained maps stolen from Maximum Doom and the Megawad Heroes. Thus, on August 4rth 2006, A "Legal" version of this wad removed the Doom.Exe making this 3 episode megawad legal to upload.
Starting off, This megawad is absolutely crazy and strange in almost everyway: Strange sounds, ms-paint graphics, Music that was grating to say the least and some of the most.. unpleasant mapping I've seen in a mid 90's wad so far, and the barney the dinosaur as the demon replacement? Yeah that's the one thing that I just couldn't help but just pause and.. laugh for a few minutes.
[[Would I make a second rejected special? Unlikely. I made this so people can see what I've done across nearly 5 years of this series and the seasons you've watched. This being said I have two I'm thinking of which is reviving the hidden gems special and a brand new cacoaward special that would be just 30 episodes each. Be Ready, August is when Season 17 of Doom Wads/Mods begins]]
