Doom Wads/Mods The Rejected #91:Ziggurat
https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom/v-z/ziggurat Losing my mind going back in time, to 1994. With this special, I've decided to also look closer at 1994 wads to examine them in detail as I know the Doom community has a thing about them and the term itself. Another cut here from Season 5.
Released on June 14th 1994 by James Roven, There's no story at all to Ziggurat but its a large concrete facility with combat that is better then you'd think, and things soon devolve into chaos as you explore the map which does have some chunky texture/mapping but not terrible. Its nothing special but I think its a ok wad for a coffee break.
[[With Ziggurat, I find it to be a solid romp, and one of the better wads of the time vs what you'd likely see on a CD-Rom such as D!Zone, The added benefit of a map layout that doesn't seem disjointed also is a plus too in the case of this wad.]]
