Doom Wads/Mods The Rejected #96:Disturbia
https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/Ports/d-f/distrbia So it is has come to this.. The final 5 wads and mods of this special are here and they are the ones that I set aside to talk about my experience with them and how they have shaped my series through what will soon be 17 seasons of Doom Wads/Mods, Prepare yourself.
Starting off things is Disturbia, released in 2008 with a Doom I.D. Archive link of November 24rth 2009 appearing later, It is by Death-Destiny, a doom level creator who has surprised me with his works including No Chance, and Grime, This is a mapper who mapped to map for creative reasons and had a good thing going but research on their activity during the Claustrophobia 1024 project makes you wonder exactly.. what was going on before they left the Doom community forever in 2009.
Disturbia is going to live in my mind just like Swim with the Whales for a long long time: As soon as I heard "Mist-Ache" composed by Lee Jackson from Rise of the Triad? This was going to be different. Looking around seeing the massive landscape, I knew this map was inspired by B.P.R.D.'s The Mucus Flow from Community Chest 2, but mutated. Post video I must died over 400 times trying to clear this map across a full day.
[[Disturbia might be the one map that has forever changed my opinion of what a map can be after noting it appeared in the top 100 most notable maps at 37, Its a map that has also changed my opinion of Lee Jackson's music in Rise of the Triad as one of the best ever in a video game, and overall? It made me respect it more after cutting it from season 6, it was thus the final one cut from said season]]
