Doomreal | Gensokyo: Suspicious Journey | No Failure Run
Decided to take a break from all the Hideousing and the Destructioning. Thought a good dodge on a short map could calm the nerves before I break forward through whatever Lost Civ's gonna throw at me next.
You might notice some enemies being a bit easier to defeat than usual. Untitled has been helping me to add some extra midbosses to the group along with some balance changes. Nothin' as big as a new boss or anything, but it helps to break the monotony by having more midboss faces. I think a lot of +AMBUSH flags have been removed as well, that ought to fix the problem of enemies not spawning in when they should. For better and worse.
Regarding the map, it's pretty well done. Lots of really cool architecture design along with some greenery to give a break from all the techbase. Not quite the best choice to bullethell with since most of the areas are a bit closed off, but I quite like the look of the map enough to try it anyways. Lighting's also neat, with a lot of color choices giving areas unique feels. Simple yet elegant on the layout front, getting lost won't be a problem. Definitely a map I'd recommend.
Demo recording, UV/Lunatic difficulty.
