Set in a post-apocalyptic urban environment, players assume the roles of twin brothers Billy and Jimmy Lee as they embark on a mission to rescue Billy's girlfriend, Marian, from a gang known as the Black Warriors.
Players navigate through side-scrolling levels, battling various types of enemies using punches, kicks, and other combat moves. The game features cooperative multiplayer, allowing two players to team up and take on the challenges together. "Double Dragon" for the Game Boy captures the essence of the original arcade game while adapting it to the limitations and strengths of the handheld console. It offers nostalgic gameplay, a mix of street-fighting action, and the iconic multiplayer co-op experience that made the franchise popular.
