Dr Disrespect Weighs in on Halo Infinite vs Splitgate
1,166With Splitgate getting huge downloads and major attention from streamers, Dr Disrespect is now asking the question: Will Halo fans just go back to Splitgate after release?
Dr Disrespect isn’t the only big streamer enjoying Splitgate, with Summit1g, Shroud, Courage and more all giving the game a lot of love on Twitch and YouTube. So when doc questioned if even Halo fans would go back to Splitgate after the release of Halo Infinite because they missed the jetpacks and the portals, 343 studios probably got a little nervous.
Splitgate is still just in beta, but has become wildly popular, with over 10 million downloads, with fans raving about the mobility and the strategy the game brings to the FPS genre. And after a somewhat underwhelming technical preview of Halo Infinite a few weeks back, Splitgate seemed to gain even more momentum with big streamers like Dr Disrespect and Shroud who were looking for a better version of that classic Halo experience.
Splitgate is also incredibly responsive to the community, releasing a huge update this week directly addressing nearly every issue raised by players this week, which is something AAA titles like Halo Infinite or Warzone just can’t seem to do. So with hype growing, and Halo Infinite still 4 months away at least...Dr Disrespect may be on to something, and 343 studios may have a serious cause for concern.
