So, after killing a metric crap-ton of Darkspawn and meeting up with Flemeth, we finally are able to get over into Kirkwall, apparently where are family had once originated from (if you remember, we were born and raised in Lothering back in Ferelden which is down dead as crap). However, things are not quite as our Mother remembered it; We were told that we had some wealth and power, part of a noble family that once lived there but, thanks to our shady, scummy Uncle, it turns out we don’t have any of that anymore. It seems as though after our Mother left the country (I think she abandoned her family for her husband who was an apostate? Not too sure about that last part though), Gamlen had quite the partying life and he burned though all our Money, even has quite a few debts from pretty much everyone in the entire city. I guess you’re supposed to pity him because of this but, I still hate the dude (You’ll find out later). Regardless, getting into Kirkwall won’t be as easy as we once thought it was going to be but, our scummy Uncle has talked to a few of his “Contacts” (A.K.A people he owes money to) to see if they won’t get us in. As you might expect, there is always a price to pay for getting anything in a video game. The Nice thing is they do speed up to the important parts (Although, that would imply that nothing noteworthy happened over the course of an entire year but, no doubt, we’ll hear stories/meet people from that time).
