Grand Theft Auto V Part 43: Some Really Odd People
So, after failing the heist and having to give back all the money we stole (Or, I guess, giving the item that we would have sold to get the money), we then go to meet a few of the Freaks and Strangers as Franklin. We get to meet Barry as Franklin (this time it isn’t quite what I expected to happen; the rest of Barry’s quest line is actually really anticlimactic), we also meet up with Beverly once again who give us a list of people to go and snoop on and then we finally meet up with a new oddball. What I’ve noticed about this game is that, once you hit a certain point in the game, the Freaks and Stranger missions all seem to turn from liner quest lines (Follow this person and help them out) to more open-world, exploration time quests which I’m not that big of a fan of. I do like the missions so far (with the exception of the Race) because we get to spend time with these odd people and get to hear them ramble. These more open-ended quests seem rather boring, especially for the one we get at the end of the video. There are two quest lines that have us running around the Desert looking for parts and I think there are quite a few pieces (Not sure if I’m making this up, but I remember hearing something like fifty pieces?). As much as the people seem rather interesting and funny to listen to (since more sound ironically stupid like Beverly), I don’t like the idea of running around looking for fifty pieces just to get a cut-scene and some money; It sounds rather boring, honestly, especially since they don’t give you the location of the parts so it would literally be me running around doing nothing. At least in Ratchet and Clank, I was compensated for each crystal that I collected and I needed the money in the game.
