So, after entering the cave in search for the Elven tool, we stumbled upon a fellow Elf from Merrill’s clan but, as you all saw, he was horrified the second he saw Merrill and ran straight into that giant creature (which, finally, we found that heart that we needed for the Herbalist that has been bothering me for quite some time). Merrill actually seemed rather heartbroken after the fight when she lamented over the Elf’s death and she wanted to figure out why he would be so terrified of Merrill which, let’s be honest here, she is too adorable to find terrifying (I think the last time I said something similar to that, I ended up having to fight a bunch of Qunari; that seems to be a more deadly phrase than I give it credit). We do get to hear more about Merrill’s backstory and the rift between her and her Old Clan which is some interesting stuff; I hope I Don’t spoil too much about it. Afterwards, we head on over to her house and discuss her plans and what not before making sure everyone is fully equipped with the best gear.
